Native Instruments have brought out their latest DJ Controller, the Traktor Kontrol S8.

Their new flagship DJ Controller features an expanded mixer section, that’s both taller and wider than their previous controllers. It has four analogue input, so you can plug in both CD players, turntables, and microphones should the need present itself.

It has a fully removable cross-fader section, so you can remove this and upgrade it in the future. The deck section is all new, with 8 buttons for cue points, remix clips, loops, or whatever else you want to map them to.

Controversially, they’ve removed the jog wheels, although many have reported that they’re not needed in today’s DJ landscape. But the main attractor to this new model is a high-resolution colour screen on each side of the deck, with a touch strip that’s great for needle drops and pitch bending.

It is quite a large controller, mainly due to the new sections and layout of the controller. Not such a bad thing really. You’ll find some prices for the Traktor Kontrol S8 Below.
